I Finally Did Something Right, It Only Took Ten Years

Ya’ll I’m gonna be honest in saying this is the most exciting blog post I think I’ll ever write. Unless I get invited onto the Ellen Degeneres show in which case I’m just going to upload a video of me screaming until I pass out.

So we all have that to look forward to.

So I’m very excited to be able to announce that after ten very long years, several thousand bottles of wine and whiskey, more than a few mental meltdowns, and three MASSIVE overhauls, my book “You’re Doing It Wrong” is finally completed.

It was actually done a few days ago but I’ve been so busy with the “what comes next” stuff to be able to sit down and update my lovely internet friends.

It’s been over a year since I handed the first half off to my friend Kevin for proofreading and editing with the hopes that I’d be done in time to release for my birthday in May 2018. That sure didn’t happen because I ran full-speed into a wall and was crippled by writer’s block. My birthday came and went and I was nowhere near being done.

It’s really hard writing a book alright!

But now it’s done.

Like, holy shit, it’s done!

I’m cautiously optimistic in saying that it will be released on May 14, 2019 which is the day before my 34^th birthday!

At this point I’ve given up on finding and agent and more so a publisher so I will be self-publishing it which is not a bad thing in the slightest. I learned a lot from when I released my first book back in 2017 and I have a plan in place for getting word out as much as possible.

A friend asked me if I was going to stop blogging now that I was done writing, knowing that I was using this to curb my writer’s block and to let out some creative energy when I needed to. I’m actually sorry to say that I have bad news for all of you…

You’re stuck with me.

Writing this blog has become such a big and fun part of my life, why on Earth would I want to stop doing it? I enjoy it because it keeps me writing and I need that because just because “You’re Doing It Wrong” is done, doesn’t mean that I’m not writing any more ever again.

Hell no!

I’ve already started brainstorming my next book!

So get ready world because you have not seen the end of me at all.

That said, I’m going on vacation so I’m gonna be quiet for a week until I get back but I’m sure I’ll have some grand stories when I do!
